Aromatherapy Massage FAQs at Maggie's Therapeutic Massage
Let us know in advance and your therapist will choose oils that suit your sensitivities, or use them very lightly. We can also skip oils entirely and adjust to a standard relaxation session.
There can be a faint scent on your skin for a few hours but it does not transfer strongly to clothes. Most clients enjoy carrying the scent with them.
Yes, we offer direct billing with Desjardins, Manulife, Johnston Group, Green Shield Canada, Alberta Blue Cross, and more.
Aromatherapy uses essential oils worked into the massage. Herbal Massage uses warm cloth compresses filled with whole herbs. Both are aromatic, but they feel quite different and work the body in different ways.
We kindly request that you inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to accommodate other clients.
Our clinic is located in the northeast of Calgary, at 227 Coventry Close NE.
Your therapist will ask a few simple questions at the start — how you are feeling, what you are hoping to get from the session — and recommend oils that match. No prior knowledge needed.
Monthly is a great cadence for general wellness. During particularly demanding periods or seasonal transitions, every 2–3 weeks can be especially helpful for regulating mood and sleep.
